Roofing Repair

A lot of people do not think about what is happening on the top of their roof until there is a problem. We understand how stressful roof damage is — and that is why roofing repair is simplified with M&C Construction. Unless you climb up on your roof regularly, you won't know a problem is coming. If you suspect damage, call us for a free estimate — we will climb up there for you.

We see the long-term consequences a single damaged shingle can cause. A small leak from a damaged shingle could lead to moisture buildup, creating mold or warping the frame of your roof. Roof repair is the best way to ensure you don't need pots and buckets spread across the house — or a new frame — down the road.

A Leaking Roof

A roof leak repair typically requires professional attention because there may be more damage than you think. This is a big reason we provide free inspections — we don't want to deter people from calling a professional. Sometimes it's a single shingle or a cluster of them. Either way, it's not something to take lightly as it could lead to structural damage.

Older homes often need roof replacement because roofing materials deteriorate with age. If your home is 10+ years old and hasn't had an inspection, it's time to give us a call. Common causes of leaks include roof vents, debris, flashing, excess moisture, and gutter backup.

Residential Roofing

We offer a variety of residential roof options. Some roofs may last 20 years, while metal roofs might last more than 50. Our specialists will consult with you, educating you about the life-cycle costs of each roofing material. According to Home Advisor, a new roof provides the best return on investment, followed by new windows and vinyl siding — homeowners can expect a 60–109% return.

Asphalt Shingles

Asphalt shingles can be used in any house from historic to contemporary. Inexpensive with a variety of options for extra durability and fire resistance, and multiple color types. Lifespan: 15–30 years. The most popular choice for its value and versatility.

Wooden Shingles

Great for ranches, bungalows, cottages, and historic homes. Offers insulation value and blends beautifully with the environment. When maintained, wooden shingles can last up to 50 years. They add absolutely stunning curb appeal but require more maintenance than other options.

Engineered Rubber / Plastic

One-third the weight of slate, lasting 30–50 years. Cost-effective, attractive, and available in a wide range of colors and styles. Made of reclaimed materials and match virtually any style home. An increasingly popular eco-friendly option.

Metal Roofing

Available in steel, aluminum, tin, and copper. Options include cedar shingles, standing seam, or slate looks. Perfect for bungalows, cottages, ranches, and contemporary homes. Lifespan: 50+ years. Extremely low maintenance, can be installed over existing roofs, and outstanding performance during strong storms.

Tile Roofing

Perfectly suited for Mediterranean, French, Italian, Spanish Eclectic, and Mission-style homes. Fireproof and non-combustible. Extremely durable when maintained. Due to its weight, structural requirements limit the use of tile roofing — your consultant will advise accordingly.

Concrete Roofing

Many colors and styles available, matching virtually any home style. Relatively lightweight and suitable for most structures. Fire and insect resistant. Extremely durable and resource-efficient with little maintenance required.

Flat Roofing

Great for modern homes. Inexpensive and easy to repair. Flat roofing systems are often used on commercial properties and contemporary residential designs where a traditional pitched roof isn't desired or practical.

Fiberglass Roofing

Fits about any style of home and is exceptionally waterproof. Relatively lightweight with many shapes and colors available. Inexpensive and available in wood or slate appearance. Tear-proof, pliable, and environmentally safe.

Commercial Roofing

If you're in need of commercial roofing, look no further than M&C Construction. We understand that your establishment says a lot about you and we will deliver a quality product in a professional manner. We manage the whole process from top to bottom without subcontracting, ensuring a quality result every time.

EPDM for Flat Roofing

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) is specifically fit for flat or slightly pitched roofs, supplied in one piece. Comes with a 20+ year manufacturer's warranty. Benefits: Durability, less installation time, high flexibility, environmentally friendly, and requires little to no maintenance.

Asphalt Built-Up Flat Roof

Many old buildings with low slope or flat roofs use asphalt-coated roofing felt with rock or gravel ballast. Depending on weather conditions, these roofs have an average lifespan of 10–20 years. A proven, cost-effective commercial roofing solution.

Thermoplastic Roofing (TPO)

Among the fastest-growing commercial roofing systems due to durability. Exceptionally resistant to UV, chemical, and ozone exposure. High resistance to fire, chemicals, punctures, and high winds. Typical lifespan: 20+ years.

PVC Flat Roofing

Provides energy efficiency and protection against the elements. Fire-safe and highly suited to low slope roofs. Reflects about 90% of UV rays, reducing heat absorption and lowering cooling costs.

Bitumen Flat Roofing

The polymer mix allows asphalt to take on its best qualities. Highly UV resistant. Typical lifespan: 10–20 years. Like tar and gravel roofing, bitumen requires surfacing materials for optimal performance.

"M&C Construction took on the challenge of replacing the shingled roofs in one undertaking at Maple Grove Commons — a community of 62 units in Hermitage, Pennsylvania. Everything from the pre-assessment to the shingling went like precision art form and was completed in a mere 12 working days. Top quality materials were provided and installation was completed by well-supervised, experienced, and diligent work crews who interacted very well with the curious owners. I would not hesitate to recommend Mike and his crew to anyone seeking to have a roof replaced, whether a single unit or large complex, home or business."
